Once you are optin to web push notifications, you have the possibility to get optout at any time you want.
This could be helpful if you want to make tests on your own regarding the optout-to-optin process.
Chrome (Version 64.0.3282.140)
In order to optout, you will need to go to your browser settings > Advanced > Clear browsing data.
Select the time range and tick the Cookies field. This method will remove the local Storage of the Websites.
Our web push solution uses the Web Service Worker to send notifications even when you are not on the website (The browser only needs to be open or minimized).
The Service worker keeps the information in storage that you will need to remove to be completely optout.
To access this section go to Browser Settings > Advanced > Content settings > Notifications > Click the 3-dot-icon of the websites you want to optout > Click Remove
Your browser is now cleared and optout from websites, if you return on them, you will be asked to become optin again
Firefox (Version 58.0.2)
In order to remove all websites data on Firefox, go to Settings > Privacy & Security Panel > Remove History
By clearing the site preferences, every data of the browser, such as the service worker will be cleared.
You shall be optout and able to see the optin message again.
